The Bible includes pivotal female figures who are familiar to us in some ways, but we may want to learn more about them. Let's explore their stories a little deeper on a #biblequiltjournal page!
Elizabeth
Elizabeth was the mother of John the Baptist, the special messenger who was sent to prepare the way for Jesus.
When I attended a Bible study on Elizabeth, I glued the handout of scripture passages on one side of the page, leaving space for note-taking on the other side.
I enjoyed the song introduction which correlated with the topic, so I made a QR code that I could add to my page and easily reference this song in the future. I like this multi-sensory memory trigger when I review my pages.
I inserted the 2-sided page directly into my Women of the Word Bible Quilt Journal, using a disc-bound system so I can shift pages around as I streamline my process.
When I first started doing BQ pages on female characters, I made individualized tabs as I did each one. I thought I'd like to continue exploring other women of the Bible in-depth and that some of you BQ Community members might be doing this also.
I was inspired to make a set of tabs for my BQ pages on women of the Bible.
Whether you're attending a Bible study which is focused on a specific character or you're doing an independent study, these tabs can provide you with a quick way to categorize your journal. Attach these directly to your BQ page or use washi tape to add it to a page protector if you're using a 3-ring binder.
As we continue to dive into the stories of other women in the Bible, our journals will grow along with our knowledge and faith.
