Hannah's story is one of heartache and fervent prayer as she pours out her heart to God for a child, despite adverse circumstances. Her story has some similarities to Sarah's, so you may want to explore that for a comparison.
For a summary page on Hannah's story, I opted for light colored card stock to print the Woman Kneeling in Prayer template.
Then I punched it to insert into my Women of the Word BQ Journal, a disc-bound system that allows me to add more pages or to move them around as needed.
I wrote out verses from 1 Samuel on the front side, contining text from chapter 1 on the backside.
Since Hannah's prayer in chapter 2 is fairly long, I chose to print out a text passage that I copied and pasted from a Bible app. I was able to format it so it basically provided a structure to divide the page into 3 columns.
In the 3rd column I gleaned additional details from various resources. I highlighted Hannah's blessing of more children in a quilted block by itself. From deep in my scrapbooking stash I discovered some pastel flowers that I adhered to the page to represent Hannah's 5 additional children... her blossoming blessings from the Lord. 🌸
I added another name sticker on the backside of the Hannah tab and a few more embellishments to finish it off.
These tabs can provide you with a quick way to categorize your journal. You can choose to put them in alphabetical order, as they appear in the Bible; or simple enter them as you complete pages. It's your process!
Attach these directly to your BQ page or use washi tape to add it to a page protector if you're using a 3-ring binder.
Another option is to use a Happy planner punch system and build your journal over time. This is what I'm currently doing for my pages, developing my journal over time.
