Our next character lived in the perilous time of the judges, traveling to the pagan territory of Moab during a long famine.
She faced grief on muliple levels, losing both her husband and two sons.
As a mother-in-law to two Moabite women, Naomi faced the challenge of providing for them after all their husbands had passed away. Ultimately, she released her daughters-in-law to return to their own families and to stay in their homeland. One chose this option and the other remained with Naomi, choosing to join her culture and her God.

For this summary page on Naomi's story, I used a freestyle Bible Quilting technique using a stencil to trace out a circle for the title. As I did the scripture writing, I added stitchlines and strips of washi tape to block out sections of the text.

Since I've previously done BQ summary pages on Ruth, I passed over her main part of the story and focused on Naomi's role.

I punched the page to insert into my Women of the Word BQ Journal. After I took these photos, realized I need to go back and add the scripture references. I may additional notes when I review the page.
