Continuing in 1 Samuel, we're introduced to Abigail.

Married to a foolish, arrogant man, Abigail responds to a potentially volatile situation with quick thinking and available resources.
Starting with a blank page, I stamped a title banner and the book of the Bible. I used washi tape to divide the page into 3 columns, providing me with structure to do scripture writing on the outer ones and notes on the inner one.
I switched colors to differentiate between the main characters.
Stickers and complimentary washi tape helped illustrate and divide space on the blank page. I left space between the scripture passages to write reflections.

As with other women we've studied, Abigail's story has some dramatic twists and turns. She speaks up boldly when needed and demonstrates a discerning spirit to know when to act quickly and when to wait patiently.
I inserted this page with its corresponding tab into my Women of the Word BQ Journal, a disc-bound system that allows me to move pages around as needed.
