Samson's storyline continues in Judges 16 with the introduction of Delilah, a woman from the Valley of Sorak, with whom he falls in love.
Delilah is the 3rd woman mentioned that Samson has liaisons with, but not the first to have manipulated him out of telling his secrets. For such a physically strong man, he shows weakness of character in his interactions with these women.
Delilah accepts bribes from the Philistine leaders to coax Samson to tell her the secret of his strength. She is persistent as he thwarts her initial ploys by offering false reasons.
Eventually, she wears him down and he is seized by the Philistines.
For this summary page on Delilah's story, I used a freestyle Bible Quilting technique with stitchlines and strips of washi tape to block out sections of text. I summarized some events or merely referenced others to make it more concise. I used stickers to aid in illustration. I punched it to insert into my Women of the Word BQ Journal.
