Journaling Through the Word Bible Quilting® Project: 2 Chronicles
The book of 2 Chronicles is the 14th book of the Old Testament and is categorized as a Historical narrative. (Remember I and 2 Chronicles used to be one document.)
It covers much of the same content as Kings and is noted to capture Israel's spiritual history.
I hadn't noticed before but the final verses of 2 Chronicles are tnearly he same as the first verses of Ezra. Check your favorite commentary for likely reasons for this.
2 Chronicles 36:22-23
22 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:
23 “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, ‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever is among you of all his people, may the Lord his God be with him. Let him go up.’”
Ezra 1: 1-3
1 In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:
2 “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3 Whoever is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and rebuild the house of the Lord, the God of Israel—he is the God who is in Jerusalem.
Bible Quilting 2 Chronicles
I started with my scripture writing in the top lefthand corner of the page, continuing down the page and gradually making 3 columns, utilziing thin washi tape to help define the space. I used the same washi tape for a border at the top and bottom of the page.
I also took notes on the 2 Chronicles template and the poster from The BibleProject. Since both books of Chronicles were covered on the poster, I've got a blank page on the back of the 2 Chronicles template for additional notes for my next round of review.

There's quite a bit of overlap between Kings and Chronicles, which can be confusing... or allows us to absorb more with the repetition. (It's gone BOTH ways for me!🤣)
