Journaling Through the Word Bible Quilting® Project: 1 Chronicles
Updated: 2 days ago
The book of 1 Chronicles is the 13th book of the Old Testament and is categorized as Historical. (I and 2 Chronicles used to be one document.}
It covers much of the same content as 2 Samuel and is noted to capture Israel's spiritual history.
David's reign is detailed as well as the transition to Solomon's reign. One of my favorite passages is David's bestowal of fatherly wisdom onto his son.
“And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.
Be careful now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong and do it.” 1 Chronicles 28:9-10

Once I completed the #scripturewriting, I looked at the page as a whole then added shading and background doodles. This is when you might identify themes that are repeated throughout the book and decide to use the same color to help highlight them.
I also took notes on the ! Chronicles template and the poster from The BibleProject:

I love building upon past Bible reading, reviewing notes from the Bible Recap and handwritten highlights from my previous Bible studies. It's all coming together in one spot!
