Journaling Through the Word Bible Quilting® Project: Daniel
Daniel is the 27th book of the Bible and is typically categorized as one of the major prophetic books. It's also been identified as Hope and apocryphal literature.
In its 12 dynamic chapters we observe how Daniel manages going into exile, and read about the dramatic stories of him being thrown into the fiery furnace and surviving in a den of lions. We see how God enables him to interpret dreams and gives him visions of the future.
Daniel lived with integrity. He had close friends that stood with him during challenges, relying on the power of prayer. He trusted God and God was faithful to him.
God's sovereignty shines throughout the message of Daniel.
"But the holy people of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever --- yes, for ever and ever." Daniel 7:18
Bible Quilting Daniel
I started my BQJ summary page on Daniel by adding a title with letter stickers on top of a blank sticker. Then I began scripture writing in the upper lefthand corner of the page.
I broke up the text blocks with sttich lines and washi tape.
Occasionally I drew a small illustration, such as flames to represent the fiery furnace.
I completed the scripture writing on page 2 and will continue to add background shading on both pages.
Next I'll enter facts about the book's author, setting, timeframe, etc. in the blank circle as I'm doing with other page summaries.
I've been taking additional notes on the Daniel template and jotting down details on the Books of the Bible flip cards as I work my way through sources.

I've left some space as I continue to listen to the Daniel series from the She Reads Truth podcast.
