As the 23rd book of the Bible, Isaiah is categorized as one of the major prophetic books. Remember that this "major" designation is not due to importance, but to the writings of these 5 being significantly longer than the "minor" prophets.

In its 66 chapters we see the sovereignty of God displayed over and over. We see God's compassion, grace, and glory balancing out justice.

Isaiah calls the people to repent so that the Lord may restore and redeem them. He reminds them that He has CHOSEN them to be His people.

"I have called you by name: you are mine." Isaiah 43:1

I started my BQJ summary page on Isaiah by adding a title with letter stickers on top of a name tag sticker.

Then I began scripture writing in the upper lefthand corner of the blank page, staying in a similar color palette as the washi tape strip anchoring the title.

I broke up the text blocks with stitch lines and washi tape.

I shaded in the background of some of the quilt blocks.

With SO many rich verses and Isaiah being such a long book, it was a challenge to pare down the scripture writing to fit in the 4 pages I'd allotted to it in my journal.

I supplemented with notes on the Isaiah template page and Bible Project summary poster.

As you navigate through Isaiah, you may decide to do a page on him as a person, exploring his strengths and weaknesses.

The beautiful phrases throughout Isaiah may inspire you to do some illustrations directly in your Bible or perhaps to create some separate BQ pages on topics such as God's sovereignty, His faithfulness, or the messianic prophecies that are fulfilled in the New Testament.
