Goodness

Have you considered doing a BQJ for a son or daughter?

Perhaps a niece/nephew or grandkiddo?

I've got a Bible Quilt Journal in progress for each of my sons. They have each contributed to their own journals by writing scriptures here and there over the years.

I've also invited them to color in the elements so their journals will reflect their own creative personalities.

Goodness pg in my son's Bible Quilt journal

Occasionally, I'll pull out their journals and work on them as I'm praying over the boys. Recently I did this page on goodness, adding a photo of my son as a toddler with his little face peeking out from one of those wooden cutouts they always had at the pumpkin patch. It's a reminder to me of the "goodness" of those days, simply enjoying family time on a seasonal outing.

JOY

Adding photos to a BQ page is an easy way to illustrate a topic. I recently got this page finished up in my son's journal, using a photo from his 1st birthday.

Fruit of the Spirit BQ Kits

I've got a few of these boxed kits left. This is a wonderful way to engage kiddos re: the Fruit of the Spirit!

These are NOT listed in the BQ online shop, but can be ordered by emailing dianna@biblequiltjournal.com. Priced $42.50 + postage, these will be shipped out when payment of invoice has been received.

You can also see the the discussion I had with a couple of sisters a few years ago who were planning on using this kit with granddaughters.

If you've done some Fruit of the Spirit with your kiddos or grandchildren, please share in the comments below!

What a wonderful idea! I know two young girls who would love this. I’ll have to spread the word 😁

Fruit of the Spirit: Patience

Looking for a fun way to complete your Fruit of the Spirit pages?

Use a photo and write a note which reflects a particular characteristic in action, capturing growth in progress.

Using a photo as illustration for Patience page in son's Bible Quilt Journal

I used a photo of my youngest son after a soccer game and wrote him a note about how I saw him growing in patience as he often had to wait on the sidelines for his brothers' activities, too.
