Strategies for Maximizing our Accountability Group Resources

It could be said that I "dabble" in Bible journaling while I "major" in Bible Quilting. I love the combo of these two techniques when I'm listening to a podcast or youtube session our accountability group is doing together.

I shared earlier in the year how I'm using a disc-bound system for my note-taking in our small group. This is proving to me a very workable method to organize notes in a flexible way.
We've been memorizing scripture, too, so sometimes I pull out just those pages to review.
I've also utilized a flip card system for the passages we're memorizing. Having them all together on a binder ring enables me to flip through them on a walk or tuck into a handbag so I've got a set to review while I'm waiting in the car for something.

Taking notes in a visual way such as Bible Quilting helps me retain info better and makes it more vibrant when I'm reviewing the material later. I've learned to leave space for comments and insights gleaned during group discussion. This combo of various techniques keeps me engaged and is helping me build a personal resource of solid reference material I can use for years to come.
