With all the tumultuous events of 2020, I'm going "old school" with a wall calendar next year. I designed one for all of us Bible Quilters to dabble with throughout the year.
I'm hopeful that as 2021 unfolds, we can move forward and generate a fresh perspective to regain some of the momentum that 2020 zapped from us.
This calendar will also be great for anyone who would like to have a creative way to gather and display scripture in their home in a purposeful way.
If you're claiming a #wordfortheyear, the first part of the BQ calendar has a place for you to write out scriptures and inspirational quotes to support your personal/family goals for this year.
Collaborative idea: Have each family member write a favorite verse and transform this page into a collage of favored scripture that will be a sweet memento of the year.
Simply by hanging the BQ calendar in a high traffic zone where it's frequently seen by your family, you'll be able to infuse scripture in your everyday activities.
Each month has a blank template for you to create your motivational images and verses for the month.
More than ever, we're all looking forward to a fresh start in the new year.
Using the BQ Calendar to fill in joyous occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations gives us something positive to look forward to in 2021.
If you've got someone on your Christmas list that might benefit from a little extra nudge remembering all of the family events, you could fill in these special dates for them as part of a meaningful gift.
Coloring in a few elements or adding some washi tape to a few of the pages gives the calendar a nice "warm-up" to prepare yourself for the coming months or as a colorful layer of texture if you're giving it as a gift.
2020 has been a time of separation for many families. If you've got multiple siblings, you could even round-robin the calendar between each of you to progressively decorate the pages for your parents/grandparents.
