ABC Bible Quilt Journalers

I typically write full verses on a particular theme in my regular Bible Quilt journal.

The fun of having an ABC Bible Quilt is making these colorful patchwork pages full of a variety of verses, often using smaller snippets of scripture so that the focal word highlights the letter-of-the-week.

I play around with different shapes, colors, and textures. Throwing in circles and a few stickers livens up the page, then I fill in the gaps with patterned washi tape or doodles.

There's no agenda with these pages - - just a loose theme of a designated letter of the alphabet. It opens up the possibility for connections between verses that you might not see otherwise.

These alphabet pages fill up over time as I encounter verses that have a word that impacts me but might not lend itself to a whole themed page in my regular Bible Quilt. I tuck them in one by one over a period of time, then gradually the page fills up:

This process resembles our spiritual growth in a lot of ways, gradually building as we spend more time in the scripture and see verses in a new perspective. These little bits of God's truth seep into us as we stitch them together on our pages.

We serve a MIGHTY God, who performs MIRACLES and comforts us in times of MOURNING.
