Laser levels & Bible Quilting? Yep!

We've probably all got a laser level lurking about in a junk drawer or out in the garage somewhere, right? Well, dust it off and bring it inside to play!

I recently saw in a hand-lettering demonstration how you can use laser levels to keep your lettering straight, so I gave it a shot this weekend. Yep, it works!!

Simply line it up wherever you want to write your words straight and use it as a guide. This avoids the slippage of rulers or drawing pencil lines that you have to erase.

Using a laser level really helped me "jump the space" to get my line straight on the other side of this rectangular box.

I highly recommend using a laser level, especially if you're doing diagonals. I wish I had thought of this trick when I started this page because it would have helped me keep the diagonals more consistent all the way across. (Look, Mary Jo, I finally did a diagonal page!!)

Any of you already using a laser level in your #biblequilting? Any other ways you'd use it? Please share your ideas in the Comments.

I received this particular laser level as a Mother's Day gift (Boymom perk!). I like that it's very stable because it has a built-in clear platform to do angles, plus it's magnetic so I can store it above my craft desk on a magnetic dry erase board. I couldn't find an online link to this particular one, but did find a couple others for you to start your search.
