Invite a Friend to Join you in some BQ Time

Have you considered inviting a friend to join you

for some Bible Quilting time?

Recently I came across this Friendship page in one of my earliest BQ journals. It has a collection of verses on it from a variety of family and friends.

I had passed my journal around the table, inviting women and girls to share a favorite verse and sign their name.

Bible Quilting session - July 2025

Woohoo! I feel like I'm "2 for 2" getting a photo at our summer sessions!
Bible Quilting session July 2025

It was an energetic reunion of some of our regulars and lifelong friends, chatting and catching up on life events and prayer requests.

comfort page, in progress, in 2025 BQ Calendar

I pulled out my gelato pastels to make a soft background for my August calendar page while others planned for their upcoming Community Bible Study topic this year. Discussion flowed about journaling Bibles and color-coded highlighting systems. We even integrated some scrapbook items to incorporate photos and trip souvenirs for a couple gals.

I love the variety of intersecting ideas and how the Lord brings us together through His Word as we find common ground in life experiences. It's never the same group twice!

Bible Quilting session - June 2025

We had a mix of newbies and "seasoned" Bible Quilters, both locals and some new friends visiting from New Hampshire. 😊

Women and girls around Bible Quilt table

As always, we found common ground and enjoyed creative time in the Word.

I love that we can all be working on different topics in a variety of journals while we chat about life events and share how God has demonstrated His blessings.

Quilts for Israel

I love when actual quilters find out about Bible Quilting and begin their own "paper quilt" journey to coincide with their fabric quilting! Sometimes they'll contact me and we'll brainstorm some ideas to go along with their sewing group goals.

Here's a recent story from BQ community member, Christal Hood:

Quilts made by Texas group to send to Israel

Wow! Dianna, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for your idea of the 'sewing Bible Quilting page' that you shared with me a few weeks ago.  You have so richly blessed myself, my quilting students and the Chief of Sar Shalom. We had been working on donation quilts for Holocaust Survivors and wounded IDF soldiers for about 8 months, and had amassed about 100 of them.
