Do you have someone dear to you that has received devastating news or is facing a tremendous challenge? Maybe the holidays are just particularly tough for a dear friend?
Sometimes we feel like there's not much we can do except pray and offer a word of encouragement.
We can use many elements of Bible Quilting to reach out to a friend who is in distress and provide them with uplifting scriptures during their time of need. (Some ideas in this post: Bible Quilting Through Crisis )
I recently collaborated with a Bible Quilting friend to send a BQ journal as a gift to a young girl battling cancer. As I put her package together, the word HOPE kept coming to mind.
"...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31
This simple yet meaningful message of Hope is now available as a template in the online shop:
Since we focused on the theme of HOPE back in Jan 2020, you may get some ideas for verses from that series.
Maybe you have a hymn or song that uplifts your spirits and creates a more hopeful mindset? Consider doing a BQ page with phrases or lyrics from that song.
HOPE endures.
May it sustain you during this busy season, providing you with a firm footing in the Word as you navigate forward...whatever the challenge may be in your unique circumstances!
