I've always loved this phrase:
"Mary treasured up all these things
and pondered them in her heart." Luke 2:19
As I have been on this journey of studying Quietness and Rest in the Lord, I feel like my heart is filling up on these heart ponderings.
I cherish early morning moments of solitude before distractions impede my time and attention.
During this 31 Days of Quiet series, I'll be sharing verses with you that have impacted me as I've attempted to carve more quiet into my ordinary days, trying to harvest bits and pieces of calm amidst the chaos of daily life. I hope they will help you, too.
Since I have "visited" these verses multiple times, I've had a chance to create with them in different ways. I'll be sharing a 2-page spread in my #biblequiltjournal as I've added a daily verse on the 31-day template set.
I've also dabbled a little bit with Bible journaling, so I'll be sharing some of those excerpts with you as well.
Whatever your preferred technique is, I hope the process of slowing down and savoring the Word replenishes you in new ways during this season.
Like Mary, ponder these verses and allow the Lord to speak to you personally to glean His wisdom for your specific situation.
You're welcome to join us over in the Bible Quilt Journal Facebook Group, to engage with others on this journey. Come on over and share how you are chasing Quiet and what you are learning from the Lord.
