Believe

Many times I'll start a BQ template by prepping it with some color, allowing myself some time to slow down and contemplate what the Lord has in store for my topic.

Earlier this month I colored in some of the elements on the Bells template, I had some washi tape with the word "Believe" on it, so I snipped the word out to see if it would fit nicely on one of the bells. It did, so I placed it there... and then moved on to other pages.
This morning at our monthly in-person session, I opened my Christmas BQ journal to that page and was inspired to do the whole page on the topic of belief.
I pulled out an old dictionary and cut out the definition of believe. I like to do this as a way to generate more keywords to find verses for as well as to add some texture onto the page.
Once I settled on the theme, I accessed my "30 Days of Believing" flip card set from our monthly topic a few years ago. This provided me with plenty of verses to choose for my quilt blocks.

It was so nice to work on a page with other local Bible Quilters, listening to chatter about football and Christmas decorating, while swapping stories and life updates.
After my friends left, I finished up my page and tab. I love starting out the holiday season with this focus of BELIEVING God's promises for us and BELIEVING in the precious son He sent for us.
