After a full week of Thanksgiving and getting some Christmas decor up yesterday, it was nice to slow down and prep some pages in my Christmas BQ journal for the next few weeks.
I colored in holly leaves and added some festive strips of washi tape here and there.
For the Advent page, I decided to use this as a collection of verses and notes throughout the month.
I'm using the next 4 pages for my sermon notes on each Sunday of Advent.
Before church I printed out the scripture passage and glued it onto the blank page facing the holly page selected for today.
As our pastor read the passage aloud in the morning service, I highlighted and underlined key phrases. Then I jotted down some points he made during his introduction to the lesson.
I took notes during the service and added a few embellishments when I got home.
This process of reviewing helps me retain key points of the message to contemplate as the week progresses.
