Bible Quilt Sample Pages

I often listen to podcasts while I'm out walking. Sometimes I'll want to remember the main points and jot down notes when I get back home. Occasionally these will turn into a full #biblequiltjournal page.

I'm part of a small women's group that listens to podcasts, then meets to discuss them together. I find that it's helpful to summarize these podcasts on a BQ page.

Reviewing these colorful notes before our accountability group meeting helps freshen my perspective and provides me with a tangible way to compare/contrast podcast topics.

As shown in the photos, these are freestyle pages that I've used my Happy Planner punch to add into my small group notebook. I'm simply using Avery tabs with titles printed from my label maker. When leaves begin changing color, skittering along the curb on my walks, I'm often inspired to pull out my fall-ish BQ pages to display in my home.

Recently at a retreat the speaker mentioned the phrase "oaks of righteousness" and I was reminded of this page I did several years ago.

I used stamps for the title and to make the banner in which I wrote "Righteousness." I decided to write the passage fully on the page, then tucked a shorter verse on the other side of the tree to balance it out.

For one of my blank pages this month I incorporated some colorful card stock for background color for some inspirational stickers and a card I had with a similar color palette.

I wrote in scriptures to tie in my theme of Beautiful Blessings, then added a flurry of leaf stickers around the page. 🍁🍂

Inspired by these beautiful cards based on the Never UnFriended book by Lisa Jo Baker, I made a friendship quilt by using some washi tape and finishing it off with some friend stickers.
