Remember back in the spring when we were doing post-it pages? I did a few pages then that I left them blank to use for a later time. (I think I told you this is a great travel tip to prep pages with your supplies at home, then you'll be able to fill in scripture while you're gone.)
This morning while my crew was still asleep and I was having a slower time getting engaged in my Quiet Time, I flipped to one of those prepped post-it pages from a few months ago. The little sticker "Hey God, it's me" nudged me as I stared at the blank sticky notes.
That phrase kick-started me to seek out some scriptures related to daily prayer.
We often use post-it notes for reminders, don't we?
It seemed like each of these verses was a good reminder to me that God is always faithful to hear my prayers...and an important reminder to me to keep showing up for time with HIM, especially during busy seasons.
It makes a huge difference in the rest of my day if I've settled myself in the Word first. The calming effect of writing HIS WORD on colorful post-it notes lingers with me longer than if I've only done passive reading.
Sometimes I'm too bleary-eyed to feel creative or don't know where to start. If I've got a BQJ page already prepped with a colorful layout, it helps me push through that inertia.
Just thought I'd share this little insight in hopes that it helps you, too!
