Recently I had a small family BQ session at my house. Prior to the meetup, we had a phone chat and my friend shared that her family had really gotten into bowling.🎳

As I was preparing for her family's session, I thought I'd surprise them with a bowling template. I googled some images and sketched one out, adding some simple stitch lines to provide structure for verses.

As I was making copies of the template for my friend and her girls, I thought I'd play around with adding one of these into my own BQ journal. hmmmm....

Historically my bowling experiences have involved family outings. So as I was thinking about how to use this template, I noticed that the word FAMILY would fit on the bowling pins.

I printed out a photo of our family bowling night a few years ago, sized it down to fit, and used it as a visual reminder of that our family togetherness.

I cut apart a sticker with family sentiments to add a tag line: "always SPARE time for family." 🤪

Then I wrote scriptures into the quilt blocks, focusing on encouragement and unity.
