BQJ Fellowship

My Ronnie is one of the folks we had the pleasure of serving on our mission trip to the Florida panhandle last week, where clean up from last October’s hurricane Michael is ongoing. Ronnie is an elderly, self-professed hoarder who was in danger of having his home condemned when Experience Mission stepped in and made an arrangement with the mayor. If Ronnie cleans up his yard, he gets to keep his house. We helped him toward his goal by clearing a little over half of his yard.

Unfortunately, Ronnie is going to need a lot more help to stay in his home than a one-time yard clean up. Things like regular meals and ongoing help with yard and house maintenance.

I’m not sure why his story and desire to stay in his house and the verses/topics we covered in our evening devotionals impacted me as much as they did. But I felt compelled to do a BQ page to capture him and those verses.

I think it started as a way to honor him, but I’ll use it a prayer reminder/resource over him & his situation.
