Sometimes a simple template can be used to help with memorization.
 
This download includes 4 versions of the title template. One has verses from Psalm 67 (NIV) typed in quilt blocks. Use this to become familiar with the verses and to practice writing them on that page.
 
The next page includes partial sentences of each verse for you to practice finishing the verse in each quilt block. You may need to repeat this process a few times to ensure you've gotten the passage memorized.
 
The third page is a sample draft of practicing scripture writing. It shows how you can use the same colors for keywords (e.g. green for earth) and doodles like music notes as visual cues. I left one element blank that can be colored in or used for a personal reflection.
 
The blank title template can be used for your final creation. Print it on cardstock for variability. Slow down your writing process to enjoy the experience and try some pretty handlettering along the way. Embellish with washi tape or stickers as a final touch.
 
This process can be used with other passages and other templates, depending on the length/theme of what you'd like to memorize. Adapt it to help your kiddos memorize scriptures, too!
