"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:20
It is such a simple concept: get together in the name of Christ. However, in today's busy world we struggle to do this for one another.
I've rediscovered meaningful connection with others by opening up my home and inviting women and families in to Bible Quilt with me. Gathering together stretches us in good ways. By the end of a "quilting" session, our hearts are full and our hands have been satisfactorily engaged with creative purpose. I love seeing Bible Quilt journals being hugged tightly by new Bible Quilters as we say our warm farewells. Overhearing little girls planning sleepovers so they can Bible Quilt together touches my boymom heart in a special way.
Kudos to those of you who have already shown up at my door not quite knowing what to expect, bravely knocking and being receptive to something new. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to those who have joined me over and over again, supporting me in this unexpected journey. What joy to have His Word alive in the midst of our gatherings and to see a reflection of those heart connections!
A shout-out to my Bible Quilting friends in other states, like my dear friend Julie in Texas who has rallied her own little group and sends me cheerful updates on the pages they are creating.
To the ladies in Omaha, Nebraska who keep sharing...I see a trickle of orders going to this region and know you are planting good seeds!
I hope this is a space where everyone can feel a little more connected.
Please pop in & share! It connects us all!
