Making the most of social media

As we're scrolling through updates on our family and friends, we can harvest some scripture along the way...and maybe follow a productive path while we're getting sidetracked!

It doesn't have to be a huge ordeal. We can simply encounter a scripture that's posted and decide to do something with it.

We can pause and let the scripture message sink in.

We can forward it to someone that could benefit from it.

We can look up the surrounding verses to see it in a fuller context.

We can add it to a Bible Quilt page!

This is often how I get ideas for my #ABCbiblequiltjournal. The main word/phrase awakens my heart and I want to capture the impact. If I'm at home, I'll add it directly onto a page. When I have the opportunity to do this, I feel more grounded as I move on to the other activities of my day. I'm amazed how a few minutes in the Word clarifies my perspective!

If I don't have my BQ supplies with me, I'll screenshot it so I'll have it later. Sometimes I'll simply add the reference to my ABC flip card set for the next time I'm working on that particular letter.
