I've had some weighty petitions I've been carrying to the Lord recently.
The scriptures encourage us to pray about our worries, concerns, and desires. We're also reminded to focus on the relationship aspects in our prayer life, abiding in the Word and spending time with God.
"Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." James 4:8
The directive "Ask God" does not come naturally to me.
I was a shy, introverted child who was uncomfortable voicing my needs or asking adults for anything. It's taken a lot of practice to be able to assert myself through verbal requests. I'm grateful that the Word provides us with so many examples of submitting to God for each and every need, no matter how big or small.
