Spring sports are well under way for most folks and the weather is getting fabulous on the sidelines for some of us!
My boys played soccer and we had many hours cheering for them in all kinds of weather. The ride home was always an interesting mix of debriefing...who scored, what plays went well, who got mad at the ref, how the team worked together...or didn't.
The boys learned so much about themselves through the discipline of practice and the challenge to keep improving as they repeated drills. They also experienced a lot of tumultuous feelings on the field during games and off the field during team activities. They observed a variety of adult reactions from the sidelines. We had a lot of interesting follow-up discussions on those rides home.
Whatever sport your kiddos play, life lessons abound and there's a lot of grist for the mill regarding sportsmanship, kindness, perseverance, and patience.
I'm excited to share with you this fun BQ template my sis-in-law designed that you can use for your hard-working athlete or sports enthusiast! Maybe you or your spouse coach and you'd like to harvest some verses re: the tenacity of coaching.

"And let us not grow weary of doing good,
for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."
Galatians 6:9
If you're a baseball family, you may want to "try out" this baseball template set:
Sometimes VBS or a Bible study will have a theme to enhance engagement.
When my CBS group used a baseball theme, I used this set to summarize our memory verses. One of my CBS friends even found some baseball washi tape: home run!!
I look forward to see you all use these sporty templates!
