Here's one I started in my Monthly Bible Quilt Journal. I played around with the purple washi tape, adding more until I decided until I'd cover the background to give the cross and scripture boxes more dimension.
It stayed like this for a couple weeks because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do to fill in the cross.
I realized the next time I turned to this page that the hymn "The Old Rugged Cross" kept coming to mind. I found the song in an old hymnal of my Mom's and glued torn pieces into layers on the cross, finishing it off with a torn ribbon.
We're all tattered and broken with layers of sin. Jesus gave HIS all so we could be complete IN HIM.
