FALLing into the Word

Updated: Sep 30, 2022

Our pastor reminded us this morning about how God creates peace just by BEING, providing stillness and rest for us.

We just have to show up... in prayer, in community with other believers, in worship and praise... and especially being in the Word to be personally reminded of His promises and the HOPE we have in Him.

"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!" Revelation 4:8

How is your "hope level" these days? Are you discouraged or bummed out?

Our daily inputs from the secular world are full of discord and strife. We need to combat all that negativity with truth and hope.

Are you struggling to be in the Word consistently?

A friend recently shared she feels like she's lost her mojo to read the Scriptures, yet knows she desperately needs the Word to sustain her through difficult times.

Do you feel disconnected from your church community? Can't quite find your niche?

Humans disappoint other humans over and over again. We fall short on our intentions and and expectations repeatedly. Then we rally and try again. It's exhausting.

What if we fall into God instead of striving so hard or giving up altogether?

What would that look like for you?

Surrendering to God is a brave step to take. Starting over on a good habit takes some tenacity. Reaching out to a friend when you're lonely requires courage. Admitting you're restless and uncertain can leave you feeling vulnerable.

You are not alone. We're all slugging along on this bumpy road of chaotic life.

If you'd like to join us for a word of encouragement and time in the Word, pop into the next BQ session!

Fall supplies are all gathered up and there's a seat for you at the table...

and we'll always scootch over for friends that you bring along!
